At present, CMS has contracted with three Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), designated as the Medicare Advantage Quality Review Organizations (MAQROs) to review audit elements QY08 CCIP and QY09 QIP for MAOs selected for CMS monitoring audit and that do not opt to deem in order to fulfill the CMS quality requirements. MAOs that opt to deem via a national accrediting organization (AO) will submit their CCIP and QIPs to the contracted AO for review.

Medicare Advantage (MA) enrollees or their Representative can request a Fast Track Appeal of the MA Advance notice of noncoverage by calling IPRO by NOON of the day before the effective date on the notice. IPRO's toll free number to request this appeal is 1-888-696-9561.
