Please be advised that at HCFA's request, IPRO has developed the attached risk mitigation plan for beneficiary requests for immediate PRO review which will be implemented in the event of a Y2K telecommunications failure. This plan will be discontinued once Y2K telecommunications failures no longer exist.

In the event of a Y2K induced communications failure, the mitigation plan will attempt to minimize, if not eliminate, any delay in beneficiary requests for immediate PRO review, hospital submission of medical records and the subsequent review process.
